Every day, our workshop hums with energy as the various teams who bring our lights to life perform their essential roles. At the center of the action is our cafe, a communal, sunlit gathering spot that fuels the body and mind. Beyond the resident barista, supply of wellness-driven snacks, and stash of break-friendly books and games, it offers a place for creative collaboration and a hive for both internal and external events. It’s also where we showcase prototypes of new products—what better place for people to see and respond to emerging designs, or just celebrate their work in a company-wide way!—and where we break out into small groups to chat about projects and get to know our team better. 

This fall, the cafe will be expanding to include a second location in our new building directly across the street, where we’ll build on the existing layout and design to create an even deeper experience that reflects the unique people and culture behind The Urban Electric Co: an approach to music that will incorporate individual selections and personal playlists; more space for fresh and healthy food and drinks; and so much more. Because, like any home kitchen or dining room, this is our pulse point and the place we come together and connect and inspire each other each and every day.
