UECo. Meets Merida

In the expertly crafted spaces our lights tend to hang in, every detail is considered from floor to ceiling. And while our fixtures predominately make up the latter, when it comes to what’s underfoot, more often than not, it’s an artful woven rug from Merida. Prized for its high-design, intricately textured creations, the Fall River, MA-based company has long been one of our most admired contemporaries, as much for its sustainable approach as its innovative aesthetic. We’re so enthralled by their operation in fact, that we recently featured their artistic director in the latest edition of The Current in addition to the company being one of the founding members of Makers Alliance, a peer group we initiated of like-minded manufacturers producing industry-leading craftsmanship across the country.

Any room that is fortunate enough to include one of Merida’s signature creations makes a lasting impression, but we like to think those that also include our fixtures are that much stronger.

Here are a few of our favorites.
