The globetrotting spirit of The Current returned with our most recent edition as we followed the spellbinding trail of materials around the world into ancient quarries and fabled fabric houses, marbling studios, glass-slumping foundries and more. And after two wanderlust-filled years of mostly only armchair adventures, we were more than ready to dust off our passports. While a series of predetermined itineraries set us on our path, dozens of detours, sidestreets and rabbit holes caught our eye and shifted our course along the way.
From the rich textures and laid-bare layers of Egyptian ruins, to the funk-infused colors of New Orleans, the polish and sophistication of historic hotels and the ever-changing landscapes of the natural world, these inspiring viewpoints sharpen our perspective and recharge our creative reserves like only the best journeys can.
Explore the hidden gems we found most inspiring while producing The Current, Vol. 4 below.
