In the course of producing this year’s edition of The Current, we were graciously invited into the workshops, studio spaces and ateliers of some of the world’s most visionary artisans. What we saw not only endlessly inspired us, it also greatly expanded our appreciation for the organized chaos that underpins creative pursuits at the highest level. From the French countryside to Paris’ Left Bank to Downtown Los Angeles, no matter where we encountered these intimate environs, regardless of the material or medium, they were ultimately interconnected as much by their approach to aesthetic archivism as by their boundless pursuit of excellence.
